6 Benefits Of Self Hosting Your Blog

6 BENEFITS OF SELF HOSTING YOUR BLOG

Lets talk about 6 benefits of self hosting your blog, I have been learning over the years of blogging about all the tips and tricks. There is so much to learn and know that I don’t think you ever stop learning something new. It is beneficial to get professional with your blog.

I always use to think I would start a blog using blogger or some other site until I read the benefits of self hosting. I know you may not want to take the time to learn how to use WordPress but let me tell you it is SO worth it!

If you take the time to learn how to use WordPress you can honestly have your blog take of to another level and turn your passion into a full time income!

Thats why today I am sharing with you the 6 benefits of a self hosting your WordPress blog and how to master WordPress!

WHAT ARE THE 6 BENEFITS OF SELF HOSTING YOUR BLOG?

1. CUSTOMISATION

The first benefit of a self hosting blog is the limitless customisation, you can customise absolutely anything you want, there are so many ways. If you are using a hosted platform (Wix, Squarespace, WordPress.com and Blogger) Your customisation is extremely limited. This will really make your blog stand out.

2.SERVER SPEED

One of my favourite benefits of  a self hosted blog is the server speed, having a fast site speed is very important if you are wanting to make your blog in to a business or work with brands in the future. Nobody wants to go to a site that takes five minutes to load, the amount of people that click of them kind of sites is crazy! Having a slow site also affects how you rank on Google.

3. BETTER SEO

Having a self hosted website is better for your SEO. If you don’t know what SEO is it is search engine optimization, it basically helps you rank higher in google which in turn gives you a better Domain Authority.

4. STORAGE

A lot of free blogging platforms run out of storage quickly, you will be surprised how much storage you need when it comes to running a blog. There are plugins, updates and files to always be uploading and updating.

5. MONETIZE

Monetization is a big thing for bloggers, it is a way to make your blog bring in income. Most free blogging platforms restrict you to how many ads you want to show on your website, whereas a self hosted website allows you to do affiliate marketing, ads and sell products.

6. OWNERSHIP

When you have a self hosted website you technically have full ownership to your website, which means you can pretty much do anything with. You can move to a different platform if you wanted and you get a custom domain name which appears more professional. So instead of (www.yourdomainname.wix.com) it would be (www.yourdomainname.com). Believe it or not brands love you to have your own domain name.

So after reading this 6 benefit of self hosting your blog you may be thinking how do I start a self hosted website, please let me know in the comments if you would like me to write a blog post on that. As you can see a self hosted website will benefit you a lot more.
